London can really boast about its variety of parks ranging from the largest to the smallest. London parks are beautiful, spectacular and truly amazing.
You would never imagine a city such as London to have so much green and open space till you actually come here. Every part of London has at least one park. Considering the sheer number of London parks we have mentioned below some of the most popular ones.
Hyde Park is the most prominent and famous London park. Surrounded from north with Queensway and Bayswater, with Mayfair from east, Kensington on west and High Street and Knightsbridge on south, this park has the best London location from where you can reach main shopping areas. 
With 360 acres in size it can take some time to cross it over. In summer time you can rent a small boat and gently paddle in the lake or just stroll around and see the statue of Peter Pan and enjoy the view. If you are into roller-skating this is the place for you. There is also a Speakers Corner inside the park where you can let your soul out and scream at the whole world or have a normal debate with strangers about topics that interest you.
The Kensington Palace can be found in Kensington Gardens , which is part of Hyde Park . If you would like to pay tribute to the late Princess Diana you can go there.

Green Park with its tube station is on the right hand side of Piccadilly, home of the Queen who lives in the Buckingham Palace . 
The Palace was built in 1703 and bought by King George III sixty years later on. It became a permanent residence of Kings and Queens after King George IV commissioned remodeling in 1824. If you can see the Royal flag flying over the east front, you know that Her Majesty the Queen is inside. The interior of the Palace is open to the visiting public during August and September.
St. James's Park is adjacent to the Green Park . Inside this park you will see St. James's Palace that was originally built on the site of a lepers' hospital. 
It is the home of Duke and Duchess of Kent as well as offices for various other royals. In the case of this palace you will not be able to go inside, apart from Chapel Royal that is open for services only.
A short walk from the Palace you will emerge on to Parliament Square and see the magnificence of the Big Ben, House of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.

Regents Park is situated in the northwest of London . This park can offer you a variety of fun and leisure.

Inside the park is a boating lake where you can rent a boat and take pictures of birds nesting on an island found in the middle of lake. If you are an avid lover of beautifully cultivated flowers you will have a memorable experience here.
With plenty of chairs and benches around the park, you could just sit and watch the time pass you by.
On the north side of the park is the London Zoo. Following recent renovations and installation of new cages you can see endangered species and help the animals by adopting them. It will give you a sense of achievement and will really help preserve the Zoo that is always in need of financial support.
You can play a game of tennis or if you have come in larger numbers there are plenty of football fields where you can test your skill.
Primrose Hill Park is a small park which is situated not far from Regents Park . During summer months and generally whenever there is a nice sunny day, many people go there
from local areas just to sunbathe or read newspapers and gently doze off.
It offers a nice view of central London if you can manage to climb to the top.

Alexandra Park has an even better view of London . The
view is very nice and also it offers you a chance to go inside the Alexandra Palace complex.
Hampstead Heath is fairly large park and sometimes it holds Fun Fares or Circuses when they visit the town.
You can even swim in some of the pools. The pools inside the park are surrounded with bushes and trees and if you like fishing there is a chance to do so.
Kew Garden is a park filled with botanical wonders from around the globe. Thousands of seeds placed in vaults are kept here to make sure that in today's society we do not loose another specimen.
The sight of the palms, exotic flowers, bushes and so on will take your breath away.
The Japanese Gateway, Temperature House, Bamboo Garden , Temple of Bellona , and Rose Garden are some of the sites which will amaze you.
Syon Park is connected with the Kew Garden . The location of many fairs organised by the local people, this park has on offer a small Butterfly House. 
Inside the Butter Fly House you are welcomed by strong smells of tropical forest and humidity. Hundreds of butterflies will be around you. You can also view a day in the life of an Ant Colony.
Richmond Park is a very large park, with a kind of a wild exterior.
This park has certain looks that will calm you and maybe extinguish the way we live urban life. It is better to head to the park early in the morning where you would also be able to see deer.
